A Raphael Guerreiro strike early in the second half helped Harry Kane and Co to get back to winning ways after a shock defeat to Werder Bremen last Sunday. However, the full-back's heroics were sent to the back burner as Bjelica stole the spotlight with a brain fog moment in the 75th minute.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Bayern were awarded a throw-in following a poor touch from Jerome Roussillon. Sane went to collect the ball for the throw-in when Bjelica intervened. The manager picked up the ball and held it out of Sane's reach despite his team chasing the game.

Sane swung his hand to retrieve the ball which angered Bjelica. He then shoved Sane away and went on to hit again despite being stopped by another Union staffer. Immediately, referee Frank Willenborg took out the red card from his pocket and asked him to head down the tunnel.
